Pick Up Lines That Work

Where so many guys screw up with women is by using a pick up line. The trouble with pick up lines is that they reveal to the woman right off the bat, before you've even gotten the chance to talk with her, that you feel attracted to her.

And unless you've got something going for you such as good looks or celebrity status, you don't want her to instantaneously decide whether she's attracted to you or not.

Instead it's better to come in under her radar. Display your alpha male personality, and then you can assume attraction. (I talk more about what it means to assume attraction in my book.)

So here's the thing: it really doesn't matter what opening pickup line you use, as long as you don't say anything too stupid. Your self-confidence level and body language are 1,000 times more important.

Once you've got a high level of inner game and your non-verbals are tight, you can even use "hi" as a pickup line.

But for now I suggest this exercise. Next time you're out on the town, just say simple, indirect things to women you pass by. Make a witty comment, and keep walking past them. Don't expect them to respond or even wait for a response.

Now, if they do respond, then stop. However, keep your body in the direction you were originally walking, as if you were just going about your business and the girl is the one who is chatting you up.

Then as the girl shows more interest in you (and maybe says witty things to engage your attention), you reward her by slowly turning your body toward hers. Bingo--you've now got yourself a woman who likes you.

I just want to conclude this article by saying that if you're new to meeting women and are desperate for the "best" pick up lines, just do this exercise I've given you of making indirect statements. That way you won't get rejected (since that would be impossible, since you just make your witty statement as you walk on by). And as you keep doing it, you'll get more and more confidence in talking to new women. And as an added bonus, you'll find a few who are immediately interested in you, and you can then keep talking to them.
